International Friendship Program

The International Friendship Program (IFP) at Denison University is a non-residential host program that promotes cultural exchange by matching international students with local hosts. Since the program’s inception in 1969, the IFP has matched hundreds of students and community members to develop and foster relationships that last long beyond the students’ four years at Denison. Hosts commit to developing a connection with a student who has come to the U.S. to pursue their education. Hosts provide entrée into the local community and off campus life. In turn, local families are able to expand their own horizons through friendship with a student from another country. Many relationships between hosts and international students last long after the student has graduated from Denison.

New hosts will be considered each summer for the upcoming academic year.
