Announcement: CPT and OPT Info Session Schedule
In order to prepare you for your internship search and planning, the Center for Global Programs will host CPT and OPT Info Sessions this semester.

- What is OPT? OPT stands for Optional Practical Training. Students use OPT to gain work experience after they graduate. Work done during OPT must be related to your major. OPT requires an application to the U.S. government that takes several weeks to process so we recommend that you attend an OPT Info Session to apply early!

- What is CPT? CPT stands for Curricular Practical Training. Curricular Practical Training is a benefit of an F-1 student visa. CPT authorization is required for all paid work/internships for any off-campus employer (based in the United States or abroad) conducted within the United States before graduation. Work done using CPT must be related to your major and typically requires enrollment in a course to which your CPT will be tied.
